What we collect
- Account: your email address, and your name and avatar if you sign in with Google.
- Videos you add: files you upload and YouTube links you paste, plus the audio and transcript we make from them.
- Your work: clips, edits, captions, tasks, credit balance and editor settings.
How your video is handled
Your video is stored privately in your library (Cloudflare R2) so it can be transcribed and scored. Only you can access it.
Cutting, reframing, captions and export run in your browser. The finished short is rendered on your device and is not uploaded to us.
Who processes your data
- Supabase: sign-in and our database.
- Cloudflare R2: storage for your uploaded videos.
- Transcription providers (one of Groq, Cloudflare Workers AI, Deepgram, Sarvam, ElevenLabs or AssemblyAI): receive the audio of a video to transcribe it.
- A language-model provider: receives the transcript of candidate clips to score their hooks.
- Google: sign-in, if you choose it.
Cookies and tracking
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. No ad trackers and no third-party analytics.
Keeping and deleting data
Your data stays until you delete it. You can delete videos from your library, tasks from the Tasks page and workspaces from Settings. To delete your account and everything in it, email hello@hookspring.com.
We don’t sell your data
We never sell your data, and we don’t train our own models on your videos.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above and tell signed-in users before it takes effect.
